• Library Data: Books you save, series you track, and reading status
• Subscription Information: Managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) through in-app purchase

• Usage Data: How you interact with the app, features used, and error logs
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve our book detection service
• Process video URLs and extract book information
• Maintain your personal library and series tracking
• Manage your subscription and account
• Send service-related notifications (scan completion, trial expiration)
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Understand aggregate trends, such as which books are saved most often, and show them in the app or share them as insights (see "Aggregated Data" below)
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We share information with service providers that help us run the app, including providers for authentication, subscription and payment management, AI processing of video content, media retrieval, cloud hosting and storage, and book information lookups. We only share what each provider needs to do its job. Book information lookups use only book titles and authors, never your personal information.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We only share data with service providers necessary to operate the app.

Aggregated Data

We may use aggregated, de-identified data (for example, which books are most saved) to show trends in the app or share insights. This data cannot identify you.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on cloud servers in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
• Secure authentication
• Access controls and monitoring
• Regular security updates

However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion of your account and data at any time through the app settings.

Video frames extracted for book detection are automatically deleted after 7 days.

You have the right to:

• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data
• Export: Download your library and series data
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from non-essential communications

7. Children's Privacy

MyReelReads is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Subscription and Payments

Subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android. Apple's or Google's privacy policy applies to payment information. We do not have access to your payment details.

Subscription management (cancellation, refunds) is handled through your Apple ID settings (iOS) or Google Play subscriptions (Android), not through our app.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, if appropriate, through in-app notifications.

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. International Users

MyReelReads is operated from the United States. If you use our service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
