Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the MyReelReads mobile application ("Service," "App") operated by MyReelReads ("us," "we," or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MyReelReads, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

MyReelReads is a mobile application that:

Analyzes Instagram and TikTok videos to detect book recommendations
Extracts book titles and authors from video content
Provides a personal library to save and organize discovered books
Offers series tracking for incomplete book series
Links to third-party retailers (Amazon, Goodreads) for book purchasing

3. Account Registration

To use MyReelReads, you must:

Be at least 13 years old
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscription Terms

4.1 Subscription Plans

MyReelReads offers a monthly subscription at $2.99/month with a 7-day free trial for new users.

4.2 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial
You will not be charged during the trial period
You can cancel anytime during the trial to avoid charges
If you don't cancel, you'll be charged $2.99/month after the trial ends

4.3 Payment and Billing

Subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends

4.4 Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID settings:

Open iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
Select MyReelReads and tap "Cancel Subscription"
You will retain access until the end of your current billing period

We do not process subscription cancellations directly. All subscription management is handled by Apple.

4.5 Refunds

Refund requests must be submitted to Apple, not to us. We do not have access to or control over Apple's refund decisions. To request a refund:

Sign in with your Apple ID
Select the purchase and request a refund

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
Share copyrighted content without permission
Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
Upload malicious code or viruses
Abuse, harass, or harm other users
Scrape or collect user data without permission
Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited messages

6. Content and Intellectual Property

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit (video URLs, book lists, series tracking data). By using the Service, you grant us a license to process and store this content to provide the Service.

6.2 Our Content

The MyReelReads app, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

6.3 Third-Party Content

Book information extracted from videos is provided for informational purposes. We do not own or control the books, videos, or social media content you analyze.

7. Third-Party Links and Services

MyReelReads contains links to third-party websites and services (Amazon, Goodreads). We are not responsible for:

The content or practices of third-party sites
Purchases made through third-party retailers
Privacy policies of external sites

We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 Service Availability

We provide the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted or error-free operation
100% accuracy of book detection
Availability of all features at all times
Compatibility with all devices

8.2 Book Detection Accuracy

Our AI-powered book detection is designed to be accurate, but we cannot guarantee perfect results. Book information is extracted automatically and may contain errors.

8.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyReelReads shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

Loss of data or content
Inability to access the Service
Inaccurate book information
Purchases made through third-party links

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of MyReelReads is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

You violate these Terms
You engage in fraudulent activity
Your account is inactive for an extended period
We are required to do so by law

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion:

Your personal data will be permanently deleted
Your library and series tracking will be removed
Your subscription will continue until the end of the current billing period

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

Updating the "Last updated" date above
Sending an in-app notification
Displaying a notice when you next use the app

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
